Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level attorney looking for substantial responsibility, diverse case work, and long-term growth potential in a supportive boutique setting. You will primarily handle civil litigation matters while having opportunities to support our transactional practice.
Key Responsibilities
-Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and briefs.
-Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and court proceedings in Michigan state and federal courts.
-Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
-Assist with transactional matters (contracts, real estate, business formations, etc.) as needed to support firm-wide needs.
-Collaborate with partners and staff on strategy development and case management.
-Contribute to firm initiatives, including client development and practice area growth.

Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Michigan.
2+ years of relevant civil litigation experience (business/commercial, real estate, probate, or general civil preferred).
Strong writing, research, and analytical skills with a proven ability to draft persuasive legal documents.
Experience handling discovery, motions practice, and court appearances.
Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred:
Experience in Oakland, Wayne, or Macomb County courts.
Some exposure to transactional work or client origination.
Interest in contributing to a collaborative, growing firm environment.
