About Us
Mitkevicius Law is a criminal defense firm in downtown Pensacola. We work across the First Judicial Circuit — Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton — and we exist to be warriors against power on behalf of people the system is built to crush. We charge flat fees that include trial, which means we never pressure a client to plead out because the meter is running. We challenge the State at every stage — bond, discovery, suppression, and trial. We also serve a significant Spanish-speaking client base through our bilingual practice.
The Role
You'll carry your own caseload from intake through verdict — roughly 75 at any time, split between misdemeanors and felonies. Expect at least a few jury trials per year and consistent motion practice. Every one of those files is a person the State is trying to grind down — and your job is to stand between them and that machinery.
The Support You'll Have
Your time is protected. We've built the firm so you can spend it on legal strategy, the courtroom, and the client. You'll have competent, dedicated support staff handling the administrative work that pulls attorneys away from what they're actually here to do, and a discovery processing pipeline — dedicated hardware and local Whisper transcription — so you're not scrubbing bodycam at 11pm.
Compensation:
Year 1 total compensation opportunity is $145,000 with a ramp up to $180,000 by year 3. Total compensation opportunity is comprised of base salary and incentives. Additional benefits include:
- 25 days PTO
- Health insurance reimbursement for employees and dependents
- Retirement account contributions with employer match of 3%
- 6 weeks paid parental leave after 12 months of employment
- $1,500/year for CLE and professional memberships
- Florida Bar annual dues reimbursed in full
- 2 paid days per year for CLE attendance.
